Phuket – On July 28, 2025, Mr. Supachok La-ongpetch, Mayor of Phuket City, together with Mr. Niti Phetpradapsakul, a member of the Phuket City Municipal Council; Ms. Anchalee Vanich Teppabutra, President of the Phuket Art Association; Mr. Somprasong Iamsakul, Advisor to the President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization; officials from the Phuket City Engineering Department; a group of artists; and other related personnel, visited and surveyed the designated installation sites for the ‘Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025’ at the King Rama X Public Park (Saphan Hin).

The ‘Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025’ is scheduled to take place from November 2025 to April 2026 under the theme “Nirankalpa” (Eternal Epoch), which aims to convey the relationship between humans and nature through contemporary art. The event will be held across all three main districts of Phuket—Mueang, Kathu, and Thalang—featuring 13 exhibition venues known as “Salas.” More than 65 artists from both Thailand and abroad are expected to participate.

In addition to showcasing artworks, the Biennale will serve as a platform for ‘artistic and cultural knowledge exchange’, as well as sharing lessons learned from the previous Biennale held in Chiang Rai. This initiative aims to prepare Phuket for the upcoming event, elevating the province to a global art destination, promoting soft power through cultural expression, inspiring younger generations, and driving sustainable growth in the creative economy both locally and nationally.
