Phuket, Thailand – November 1, 2025 – The Patong Hotels Association (PHA) successfully hosted its first-ever “PHA Charity Golf Tournament 2025” at the Blue Canyon Country Club, Phuket. The charity event aimed to raise funds for the purchase of essential medical equipment to support patient care at local hospitals, while also strengthening relationships across the hospitality, tourism, and business sectors through a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
This inaugural tournament received an enthusiastic response and achieved remarkable success, attracting more than 60 sponsors from hotels, private enterprises, and partner organizations. A total of 111 golfers participated in the competition, which featured exciting Hole-in-One prizes worth up to 200,000 THB at Par 3 holes (2, 12, and 17), and 50,000 THB at hole 8, along with special “nearest-to-the-pin” awards for other Par 3 holes. The event was proudly supported by the Singha Phuket Golf Club as the main sponsor, together with over 60 corporate partners who contributed to the cause.
During the event, Ms. Chularat Chantakul, President of the Patong Hotels Association, together with the organizing committee and supporters from all sectors, presented a donation of 100,000 THB to Patong Hospital to assist in the purchase of vital medical equipment. Dr. Sunanta Khajonrungruang, Acting Director of Patong Hospital, received the donation on behalf of the hospital’s management team.
Ms. Chularat expressed her gratitude, stating, “We are truly proud that our first charity golf tournament has received such warm support from our business partners and community. Beyond being a wonderful networking opportunity for those in the tourism and hospitality industry, this event represents the collective power of collaboration for social good. Together, we can enhance the well-being and quality of life for the people of Patong in a sustainable way.”
