
Phuket, Thailand – August 18, 2025 – Phuket Thai Hua ASEAN Wittaya School proudly organized a grand celebration marking the ‘50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and China’, together with the ‘ASEAN–China Student Educational Exchange Festival under the Five Principles (4th edition).
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Samawit Supanpai, Deputy Governor of Phuket. Distinguished participants included Mr. Wang Zhijian, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Songkhla, and Mr. Sombat Atiset, President of the Kusolsongkroh Foundation Phuket (Lock Sien Kok) and Chairman of the Board of Phuket Thai Hua ASEAN Wittaya School, along with school executives, teachers, parents, honored guests, and members of the media.




In his remarks, Deputy Governor Samawit emphasized the deep significance of this celebration. He noted that Thailand–China relations extend far beyond government cooperation, reflecting a profound people-to-people bond. Phuket, in particular, has shared a long-standing connection with the Chinese community, rooted in history, economy, education, and cultural exchange.
He also highlighted the important role of Phuket Thai Hua ASEAN Wittaya School in advancing and strengthening these ties. The school has raised educational standards to international levels, with intensive Chinese language programs offered across all grade levels, enabling students to gain deeper insight into Chinese language and culture. The institution has also established academic partnerships with several Chinese universities through Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), creating opportunities for student and teacher exchanges, study visits, and cultural activities.




This event represents a significant milestone in reinforcing Thailand–China relations through the pillars of education, culture, and mutual understanding among youth. These exchanges are expected to serve as a vital driving force in building a strong and sustainable relationship between the two nations for years to come.
