PHUKET – October 18, 2025 – The province of Phuket officially launched the “Phuket Hotelier Craft & Skill Exhibition 2025” at the Mini Convention Hall, 3rd floor of Central Floresta Phuket. The event was presided over by Mr. Suwit Phansa-ngeam, Deputy Governor of Phuket, and attended by leading figures from the tourism and hospitality industry, including Mr. Chai Arunananchaikul, President of the Tourism Council of Thailand; Mr. Puttha Maklai, President of the Southern Hotel Engineering and Skills Development Association; Mr. Thanadet Photanon, President of the Andaman Food and Beverage Association; Mr. Surasit Sema, President of the Southern Volunteer Chefs Network; and Mr. Phumipan Kongwut, President of the Phuket Chapter of the Thai Chefs Association. Government representatives, private sector executives, and hospitality professionals filled the venue in strong attendance.

Taking place from October 18–19, 2025, the exhibition is a collaborative effort among several key industry associations — including the Southern Hotel Engineering and Skills Development Association, Thai Chefs Association, Southern Volunteer Chefs Network, and the Andaman Food and Beverage Association — with the goal of enhancing the professional skills and craftsmanship of Phuket’s hospitality workforce, a crucial pillar of the province’s tourism-driven economy.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Governor Suwit emphasized the significance of service excellence in maintaining Phuket’s global reputation:

“Phuket is a world-class tourist destination. The quality of our hospitality services is not just about creating good impressions — it reflects the image of Thailand and directly impacts our local economy. This exhibition is more than a competition; it is a space for learning, growth, and pride for everyone in the hospitality profession.”

The two-day event features skill competitions across multiple disciplines, live craft and service demonstrations by industry experts, and product showcases from leading manufacturers and suppliers*, offering participants valuable networking opportunities and promoting the use of high-quality products in the hospitality sector. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, students from Phuket’s vocational colleges are also performing and showcasing their emerging talents, underscoring the next generation’s potential in hospitality careers.
