
Phuket — On December 19, 2025, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, presided over the opening ceremony of the 39th Phuket Tourism Season Opening Festival 2025 at Patong Beach. He was welcomed by Mr. Nirat Phongsitthavorn, Governor of Phuket, along with Colonel Adul Chuthong and Mr. Theeraphong Chuaychu, Deputy Governors of Phuket, and Ms. Lalita Maneesri, Mayor of Patong Municipality, who delivered the event’s objectives.
The opening ceremony was attended by executives from government agencies, the private sector, and representatives from various organizations, creating a lively atmosphere filled with local residents and both Thai and international tourists. The highlight of the event was a grand parade featuring more than 40 procession groups, adding vibrant color, excitement, and memorable experiences for visitors.




Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn stated that Patong Beach is one of Phuket’s most important tourist destinations and is globally renowned among travelers. Patong continues to develop across all dimensions, with comprehensive facilities and efficient capacity to accommodate tourists. Advancing Patong as a charming, valuable, and dynamic tourism city requires strong cooperation from all sectors. This event reflects the genuine commitment and collaborative spirit of Patong Municipality and its partner organizations. He also encouraged local residents to be gracious hosts, caring for tourists as friends and relatives to create lasting impressions for all visitors.




Meanwhile, Mr. Nirat Phongsitthavorn, Governor of Phuket, noted that Phuket is a world-class international tourism destination. The end-of-year period marks the opening of the tourism season, or High Season, demonstrating the province’s readiness in all aspects. The Phuket Tourism Season Opening Festival at Patong Beach, now held continuously for the 39th time, symbolizes unity and cooperation among all sectors in creating a lively atmosphere and memorable experiences for tourists. The event also plays a key role in further enhancing Phuket’s tourism image on the global stage.
