Phuket – January 24, 2026 — At 11:00 a.m. at Robinson Lifestyle Chalong Shopping Center, Phuket Province, Mr. Theeraphong Chuaychu, Deputy Governor of Phuket, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Open House: Phuket Inspired Education Hub”, held under the “Phuket Inspired Education Hub” initiative.

The event was attended by Mr. Chalam Attatham, Deputy President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization; Mr. Sasawat Limpanich, President of the Phuket Association of Non-Formal Private Schools; Mr. Wittaya Ketchu, Director of Phuket Vocational College; along with executives, representatives from government and private sectors, education entrepreneurs, faculty members, parents, students, and members of the media.

Ms. Panna Phromwichian, Phuket Provincial Education Officer, reported that the Phuket Inspired Education Hub project was established to enhance human resource potential by equipping learners with professional skills aligned with the evolving labor market of the 21st century. The initiative aims to drive Phuket toward becoming a city of education and an international city.

The project comprises eight key activities:

  1. Open House: Phuket Inspired International Education Hub
  2. Development of modern and safe port management systems and Thai maritime personnel
  3. Development of caregivers for the elderly and dependent individuals toward sustainable development
  4. Enhancement of service quality and promotion of high-value tourism
  5. Development of intelligent audio technician skills for the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) city
  6. Excellence in foreign language learning development
  7. “Khlui: Music of Hope and Aesthetic Harmony” activity
  8. Training program for golf service professionals

The Open House event aims to promote vocational skill development pathways, lifelong learning, and to inspire students, the general public, and interested individuals by showcasing diverse educational and career opportunities. These opportunities are expected to generate income, improve quality of life, and strengthen Phuket’s economy sustainably. Approximately 300 participants attended the event.

On this occasion, Mr. Theeraphong Chuaychu, Deputy Governor of Phuket, stated that the Phuket Inspired Education Hub represents a significant step forward in aligning education with global changes. The initiative emphasizes holistic human development—covering academic knowledge, professional skills, and lifelong learning—through collaboration among Phuket Province, the Phuket Provincial Education Office, and the Phuket Association of Non-Formal Private Schools. These partnerships play a vital role in expanding educational opportunities, creating careers, generating income, and developing a skilled workforce.

He further noted that the Open House also serves as a platform to strengthen collaboration among the education sector, business community, and industrial sector to jointly advance Phuket toward becoming a smart city, a high-quality tourism city, a city of education, and an international service innovation hub, reaffirming that “the quality of a city is fundamentally rooted in education.”

Following this, Mr. Chalam Attatham, Deputy President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, expressed appreciation on behalf of education supporters and emphasized that a key policy of the organization is to prioritize education and public health together. He highlighted that education must be capable of identifying and developing each child’s individual potential and genuinely responding to their abilities.
