Bangkok Hospital Phuket and Dibuk Hospital participated in the “Rotary Save the Dugong & Beach Cleaning” activity to help restore seagrass habitats. The initiative was organized by the Rotary Association in collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. Activities included installing protective seagrass enclosures and conducting beach clean-ups to safeguard vital feeding grounds for dugongs, while also minimizing disturbances to seagrass beds and reducing marine debris—particularly microplastics that pose serious risks to marine life.

The activity took place at Tha La Beach, Pa Khlok Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket, on March 4, 2026.

This initiative forms part of the Bangkok Hospital Network’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in Phuket, aimed at promoting the conservation of natural resources and sustainable development, while continuing to support the long-term health and well-being of local communities.
