Phuket – June 9, 2024, Ms. Jiraphon Sinthuprap, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, along with Mr. Sophon Suwanrat, Phuket Governor, Mrs. Sudruthai Lertkasem, Director-General of the Public Relations Department, Mr. Chaloemsak Maneesri, Mayor of Patong City, and Mr. Supakorn Suwan, Chairman of the Andaman Power Group Phuket, joined the Phuket Pride Parade Patong 2024.
The parade featured the Miss Queen Andaman Power 2024 and Drag Queen of Pride 2024, along with teams from the Public Relations Department representing 14 southern provinces, various government and private sector units, and local business operators in Patong. The parade marched from the front of Duangjitt Resort, through Bangla Road, to The Bay Arena at Jungceylon Shopping Center, Patong, Phuket.
Following the parade, there was an opening ceremony celebrating LGBTQI+ equality, featuring a spectacular parade with over 3,000 participants from various age groups and sexual orientations. The participants wore vibrant outfits, feathered costumes, and floral displays, with show teams joining in the celebration of Pride Month. This event showcased to the world the push for gender equality and aimed to pave the way for the enactment of equal marriage laws.
