Phuket – On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Chao Fa Conference Room, Phuket Provincial Hall, Mr. Sophon Suwannarat, Phuket Governor, along with Mr. Rewat Areerob, Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization President, Mr. Kongsak Kuapongsakorn, Phuket Chamber of Commerce President, Mr. Somsook Sumpanpratheep, Public Health Phuket Deputy Director, Ms. Kamolpan Chaloemsakulrat, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket Office, Mr. Warin Khaothong, Secretary of the Phuket Sports Association, Ms. Rattanada Chuban, Phuket Health Spa Association President, Ms. Thanita Wanichachutikul, President of the Phuket Massage Business Operators Club, and Dr. Mongkol Nitwimon, President of the Thai Traditional Medical Development Association, held a press conference to announce the readiness for the “Connect the Dot Phuket International Trade Fair – Phuket Health Expo,” which will be held from July 24-28, 2024, at Central Festival Phuket.
The event aims to promote tourism and publicize Phuket’s products and services ready for export, linking trade with neighboring markets, and revitalizing and stimulating Phuket’s tourism economy overall.
Additionally, it showcases Phuket’s potential as the Wellness Tourism Hub of Asia, promoting Health & Wellness Tourism, and creating a new event for Phuket that can grow into a global event, benefiting the local economy by distributing income at all levels. It also establishes a comprehensive health and wellness business alliance throughout the supply chain, driving Phuket’s strategic plan and responding to government policies.
The event will feature various zones from July 24-28, 2024:
– Zone 1: Phuket Health & Wellness Showcase, highlighting top health and wellness products and services from Phuket.
– Zone 2: Connect Phuket Connect the World, featuring international products and technologies from chambers of commerce across the country.
– Zone 3: Phuket Soft Power, presenting products and services from various health associations in Phuket, stage activities, and 5-star community products from around Phuket.
Highlights include:
– July 24, 2024: A flower arranging competition in a spa bowl from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, a health tourism network seminar by TCEB at the Floresta Mini Convention Hall, followed by the official opening ceremony at 4:30 PM, and a Thai Boxing Soft Power discussion at 5:00 PM.
– July 27, 2024: A massage competition and the “Andaman Wellness Massage” activity.
– July 28, 2024: A competition for food as medicine and beverages.
It is expected that the event from July 24-28, 2024, will drive economic growth and generate at least 10 million baht in trade and investment.
