Mrs. Anchalee Vanich Tephabutra, President of Boonrawd – Ekkapot Vanich Foundation, stated that the foundation was established from the initiative of Khun Mae Boonrawd, who wished to dedicate her assets to create a scholarship fund for students in Phuket who are eager to study but lack financial resources. The goal is to provide opportunities for the nation’s youth to improve their quality of life physically, mentally, and intellectually. The Boonrawd – Ekkapot Vanich Foundation was founded on December 13, 1996, with the objective of providing scholarships to financially disadvantaged students, promoting cultural activities, and engaging in public service. Scholarships have been awarded to students who are dedicated to their studies, well-behaved, but in need of financial assistance.

The foundation has been awarding scholarships since 1997, with a total of 679 scholarships granted over 27 rounds, amounting to 2,528,000 baht. For the year 2024, a total of 23 youths has received scholarships from the Boonrawd – Ekkapot Vanich Foundation. These recipients include children under the foundation’s care who meet the criteria set by the foundation and will be supported until they complete a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Additionally, scholarships are given to high school and vocational students who have good academic performance but lack financial resources.

“May the scholarship recipients dedicate themselves fully to their studies as they have intended, with patience, perseverance, determination, and the will to overcome obstacles, in order to achieve success and graduate, becoming good citizens of the nation,” said Mrs. Anchalee.
