Phuket – On January 5, 2025, at the Saphan Hin central stage, Mr. Sophon Suwanarat, Governor of Phuket, together with Mrs. Busadee Suwanarat, President of the Phuket Red Cross Society and Chairwoman of the Provincial Housewives Association, led government officials and local residents in a Thai fabric fashion walk under the theme ‘Enchanting Fabrics, Spectacular Thai Textiles.’ This event was part of the annual ‘Phuket Best 2025’ festival. 

The event showcased a variety of exquisite Thai textiles, including royal-pattern fabrics bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, unique Phuket fabrics such as batik, tie-dye, Baba-Nyonya textiles, lace, and embroidered fabrics, as well as contemporary Thai fabric designs adapted for ease of wear and enjoyment. 

The fashion walk featured participants from various sectors, including honorary models, officials from government agencies, local administrative organizations, state enterprises, private sector representatives, and delegates from the three districts of Phuket, with more than 80 pairs and individuals taking part. 

The activity aimed to preserve and promote Thai culture, highlighting the beauty and value of Thai textiles while encouraging the widespread use of local fabrics among people of all ages.
