Phuket – Entrepreneurs from Phangnga Province have brought a showcase of their signature local products, including agricultural goods, processed agricultural products, community products, seafood, and processed seafood — over 50 booths in total — to a roadshow outside the province. For the first time, the event is being held at Central Phuket (Festival Wing) from May 27 to 31, 2025, with the goal of expanding market access and creating new opportunities for local Phangnga products to reach both Thai and international consumers. This initiative also aims to generate income for the people of Phangnga and to strengthen and sustainably grow the local economy.

Mr. Boontham Thaworntatsanakit, Deputy Governor of Phangnga Province and the event’s opening chairman, presided over the exhibition and sale of Phangnga’s signature products under the “Phangnga Fair 2025” project. This project is part of a promotional initiative to publicize and connect Phangnga’s signature products to wider markets.

“The Phangnga Fair 2025 is a key initiative of Phangnga Province aimed at promoting and supporting signature products registered with Geographical Indication (GI) status — including Phangnga Salika Durian, Dok Kha Upland Rice, Phangnga Divine Mangosteen, and Koh Yao Sea Cucumber — as well as agricultural and processed agricultural products, community products, seafood, and processed seafood. The goal is to increase market reach and brand awareness, and to empower local entrepreneurs to enhance their competitiveness and capabilities,” Mr.Boontham said.

This event features a product caravan of over 50 vendors, offering a wide variety of renowned Phangnga signature products such as: Salika Durian, Dok Kha Upland Rice, Divine Mangosteen, Koh Yao Sea Cucumber

Additionally, the fair includes a wealth of agricultural and processed agricultural products, community items, and seafood-based goods such as: Processed products from Dok Kha Upland Rice, Processed foods from Koh Panyee, Ching Chang fish from Koh Yao, Traditional pastries (Tao Sor), Pearl jewelry, Phangnga batik fabrics.

Highlights of the event also include various engaging activities such as: Business matchmaking sessions, Live performances by famous artists including ‘Ratchanok Srilopan’, ‘Dokkae Topline’, ‘Fierce Siriwut’, ‘DJ Tae Watchasat’, and ‘Bo Super Valentine’, Daily promotional campaigns and giveaways. 

“We hope this event will become a vital engine driving grassroots economic development in Phangnga, creating sustainable income and employment opportunities for local farmers and entrepreneurs,” added Mr. Boontham.

In addition to this event in Phuket, the second “Phangnga Fair 2025” is scheduled to be held in Phangnga Province as well during June 21–25, 2025 at Phangnga Provincial Government Center, Mueang District, Phangnga Province.
