Phuket – On July 19, 2025, at 9:00 AM, the Phuket Provincial Cultural Office held the “Kebaya Festival” as part of the Phuket Creative City initiative. The event featured two main activities: “Children Taking Mothers Out” and “Through the Lens: Kebaya in My Hometown,” taking place in the Phuket Old Town community, Talad Yai Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket Province.

The project aims to add value to tourism, as well as cultural products and services, by connecting tourism businesses with local communities, enhancing and developing the potential of both communities and entrepreneurs in Phuket.

The festival was made possible through strong collaboration with Phuket City Municipality, the Phuket Provincial Cultural Council, Baan Chinpracha, the Old Town community, the Peranakan Nithat Museum, House No. 92, Dr. Seng’s Museum, Hainan Shrine, Saeng Tham Shrine, the Phuket Thaihua Museum, and various stakeholders — all contributing to the project’s successful completion.
