PHUKET, Thailand – July 17, 2026 – Mr. Chotinrin Kerdsom, Governor of Phuket, assigned Mr. Romdon Haji-Awae, Vice Governor of Phuket, to preside over the opening ceremony of “Andaman Techspace 2026: Innovation & Hospitality Expo” at Angsana Laguna Phuket.

The event was jointly organized by the Thai Hotels Association Southern Chapter (THA Southern Chapter), the Thai Hotels Association (THA), the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) (TCEB), and CarbonMICE. Attendees included Ms. Wichupan Phuketlaun Srisanya, President of the Thai Hotels Association Southern Chapter, representatives from TCEB Southern Office, hotel operators, business leaders, and stakeholders from across the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Held as a fully Carbon Neutral Event, the expo incorporated environmentally responsible practices throughout every stage of its organization—from event planning and preparation to waste management, greenhouse gas emissions assessment, and carbon footprint offsetting. The initiative reflects the Thai tourism and hospitality industry’s strong commitment to minimizing environmental impacts while promoting long-term sustainable growth.

Andaman Techspace 2026 serves as a premier platform bringing together hotel operators, hospitality executives, and leading technology providers to exchange knowledge, share industry insights, and strengthen business partnerships. The event aims to elevate service standards, enhance competitiveness, and establish a solid foundation for the sustainable development of Thailand’s tourism and hospitality industry.

One of the event’s major highlights was the panel discussion titled “The Future and Transformation Towards Sustainable Tourism in Phuket Province.” Distinguished speakers, Mr. Bhummikitti Ruktaengam and Mr. Ho Kwon Ping, shared their perspectives on the future direction of Phuket’s tourism industry and strategies for adapting to the rapidly evolving global tourism landscape.

The expo also featured more than 24 exhibition booths showcasing the latest technologies, digital solutions, and innovative products designed specifically for the hotel and tourism industries. Participants had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge innovations, expand their professional networks, and establish strategic collaborations with industry leaders.

The “Andaman Techspace 2026: Innovation & Hospitality Expo” marks another significant milestone in promoting the adoption of technology, innovation, and sustainable practices within Phuket’s hospitality sector and the wider Andaman region. By embracing digital transformation and environmental responsibility, the event reinforces the region’s readiness to meet future industry challenges while fostering balanced economic growth alongside environmental stewardship and sustainable tourism development.
