Phuket – On August 2, 2024, Mr. Sophon Suwanarat, Phuket Governor, along with Mr. Norasak Suksomboon, Phuket Vice Governor, Ms. Woranit Apiratchirawong, Chief of Phuket Commerce Office, Ms. Mukda Limnukul, Chief of Phuket Development Office, and Dr. Khwannapatsorn Charntalay, Managing Director of Pracharath Rak Samakkee Phuket Co., Ltd., visited Rawai to enjoy lobster dishes at Jumbo Seafood restaurant, located in front of Rawai Beach. They participated in the Phuket Lobster Festival 2024, choosing dishes such as Baked Lobster with Cheese and Lobster Sashimi. Additionally, the restaurant created a delectable Lobster Head Porridge.
This event marks the official launch of the “Phuket Lobster Festival 2024,” inviting tourists and interested individuals to savor over 500 lobster dishes from more than 100 restaurants throughout August. This celebration highlights Phuket’s status as a Gastronomy City, especially focusing on lobster, a key feature of the festival, renowned for its exceptional taste and versatility in various dishes. The festival provides a delightful treat for tourists during Phuket’s rainy season and aims to promote the Phuket Lobster Festival brand internationally.
The festival’s launch in Rawai has received positive feedback from tourists, who enjoyed the diverse lobster dishes crafted by the participating restaurants. Visitors experienced both the fresh, delicious taste of the lobster and the complete seaside tourism atmosphere.
