Nakorn Sri Thammarat – On November 16, 2023, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University, and Dr. Sergey Andryushin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Saint Petersburg State University (SPbU), jointly signed an agreement on cooperation for the establishment of a coordination center between the two universities. The signing ceremony was honored by Mr. Vladimir Kim, Head of Culture and Education at the Embassy of the Russian Federation, and Ms. Elena Vasileva, Consultant to the Vice-Rector for International Affairs, who served as witnesses at Chulabhorn Vechawat Building, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital at Tha Sala, Nakhon Si Thammarat.

The establishment of the coordination center marks a significant step in developing and strengthening cultural and academic cooperation between the two institutions. Both parties will collaborate on research, academic exchange programs, and mutual cultural activities., reflects the commitment to advancing educational and cultural ties between Russia and Thailand. This collaboration will involve joint research projects, educational programs, conferences, and scientific seminars. Additionally, renowned Russian scientists will contribute to lectures and teaching activities, covering various scientific fields.
